"Wahhabis, ISIS spread Islamophobia"

"As a consequence of ISIS' atrocities and radical activities in recent years, some European countries passed laws prohibiting any promotional activities regarding Islam; such bills were passed a few years ago in countries like Germany and Austria to the extent that even giving Quran to somebody as a gift is considered illegal and punishable by law," said the Muslim activist.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran)‌ - In recent years, Wahhabis' systematic activities along with ISIS' (or Daesh) atrocities in the Middle East have given Islam a bad name and caused increasing Islamophobia worldwide. Therefore, religious missionaries and Muslim cultural activists have a difficult task to engage in promoting genuine Islam and its teachings in some European and American countries.

Ms. Sama Porkar, a missionary and cultural activist in Austria, had an exclusive interview with Hawzah News in which she elaborated on the heavy atmosphere against Islam in the West as well as the difficulties of carrying out promotional activities in such conditions.

"During the last 8 years, I've been doing my best to introduce the world to genuine Islam and its principles via different means including, social networks, emails or phone calls." Ms. Porkar remarked.

She added, "I've also published several articles on the character of Prophet Muhammad (sawa) in different languages."

"The atrocities and inhumane crimes carried out by Wahhabis and ISIS terrorists in different parts of the world including Europe in recent years created a wave of Islamophobia and hate speech towards Islam; such actions were intended to give a bad name to Muslims as well as Islam."

ISIS created Islamophobia in the World

Sama Porkar further reiterated, "ISIS' inhumane atrocities in recent years created a new wave of Islamophobia and hate speech targeted at Muslims and Islam in general; as a result of these crimes, a Muslim women which is covered in veil, will probably receive some hateful reactions or scolding in some European countries."
